Translation

In addition to editing and writing, I provide translation services for the following languages:

English

I provide translation both to and from English (British as well as American). For translations to English, the source language can be either Polish or Danish, whereas for translations from English, Polish is available as the target language.

Polish

Translation to and from Polish are available. For translations to Polish, the source language can be either English or Danish. When translating from Polish, English (UK or US) is the target language available.

Danish

Danish is available as the source language for translations to either English or Polish.

When choose my translations, you get an excellent command of both the source and the target language, as well as the cultural awareness necessary for successful bridging of the language gap.

You also get the same careful editing as with all my other services, although I strongly recommend enlisting another editor for at least the final proofreading, if not a full copyedit, as all writing benefits from another pair of eyes not involved in its initial creation.

It is important to understand that translations unavoidably require choosing between being faithful and being natural in the target language. Personally, I prefer natural-sounding results preserving the spirit if at all possible, rather than strict adherence to the source material. However, for any major decisions, I will involve you directly and discuss the available options, and work with you to determine the scope of acceptable changes if absolutely necessary (this is a consideration especially if your work involves wordplay).

Please note that my services are provided for regular prose only and are not sworn translations (i.e. they are not legally binding and cannot be used for official documents).
